MIRKO HORVAT

è nato nel 1955 a Zdala. Ha ereditato l'amore per la natura e della pittura dal padre Josip Horvat-Zdalski, uno dei primi pittori naif dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, in Podravina il suo stile si sviluppava sotto l'influsso di M. Kovacic, ma a poco a poco egli ha sostituito la tavolozza di colori accesi e fiammanti con delle tonalità pastello tenue, ed ha ridotto i motivi presi dalla natura. La pittura di Mirko Horvat mostra l'ascesa e la maturazione della particolarità creativa, esprimendo le forti emozioni. Questo si riferisce soprattutto alle opere nate negli ultimi cinque anni, con le quali l'autore è riuscito ad affermarsi nell'arte figurativa. Mirko Horvat esponeva le sue opere in 20 mostre individuali e in molte collettive, dal 1960 fino al 1994.
