In elementary school Hlebine his design professor was Ivan Generalic, who gave lessons even after she had finished elementary school. In Zagreb he finished the Institute of furniture and decoration. He has exhibited individually and collectively in several Croatian cities and worldwide. Two symbols of his paintings are marked red and the apple flavor and sunflower yellow and mature, are symbols of health, joy of life and constant renewal of life. "Museo Croato dell'Arte Naif" di Zagabria

Nel 1952 venne fondata a Zagabria la Galleria degli artisti contadini, che nel 1956 cambiò nome in Galleria dell'arte primitiva. Infine nel 1994, per decisione del Parlamento della repubblica di Croazia, fu denominato Museo Croato dell'Arte Naif. Il Museo croato di Arte Naive custodisce oltre 1.850 opere d'arte: dipinti, sculture, disegni e stampe in gran parte di artisti croati. Il fondo permanente del Museo è stato creato secondo il motto: “l'Arte Naive come un segmento d'Arte Moderna”.Si è dato particolare rilievo agli artisti croati della Scuola di Hlebine e di alcuni dei più pregiati artisti indipendenti.
